Neglect

Bonjour!
I have severly neglected my blog, and for that I am truely sorry!
Let me fill you in ...
I have recently started back at uni, have been on a wonderful trip to Paris and as of late have been feeling rather under the weather! So with being so busy my online attendance has been rather crappy.

Paris was absolutely fantastic! I completely fell in love with the place and it has made me atleast a million times more excited to move there in January! I loved the slower pace of life, beautiful buildings and yummy food, and not to mention seeing my lovely friend Amy (who I am missing dearly).
Spam you with my Paris pictures? I hear you say!

The Promise Collection

I absolutely LOVE ethical/eco/fairtrade fashion! It's the area of fashion i'm aiming to work in and I love what it stands for. I know this is old news as the collection has been out for a while but I urge everyone to look Tommy Hilfiger's "The Promise Collection".
My faves and soon to be purchased are "Carlton Skirt"

and the "Paarl shorts"

Also if anyone knows of any eco-friendly/ fair trade fashion lables let me know, i would love to check them out!

Fashion facts/peeves and questions as told by me!

These are some of my fashion peeves and some questions that I am genuinely curious about! These are my own opinions so technically are not "facts", let me know what you think :)

Fashion facts/ peeves

• An inside out hood makes you look instantly crazy
• Leggings so sheer I can see your pants/underwear = NOOOO
• Big hoop earrings will always be chavy/nedy/trashy (I don't care what Nelly Furtado's new song is haha)
• All track suits/ sports wear should not be worn unless actually doing sports

Fashion questions

• Is it acceptable for kids to wear socks and sandals?
• Could kitten heels ever make a comeback?
• Can blondes wear leopard print? (I'm blonde and find it really difficult to wear leopard print without looking tacky)
• Is it socially acceptable to wear tights under a maxi skirt?

Love for Elie Saab

Ok, I'm holding my hands up and admitting it! I have completely slacked on keeping up with whats going on in the fashion world lately! I am currently studying International Fashion Branding and from September to April I am completely saturated with designers and clothes! So, when I finished for the summer it was nice not to be glued to a computer or have my head in a magazine. However like a true fashion student I have been feeling guilty about this and today decided  to take a trip over to vogue.com ... and I'm so glad I did!!

The first thing I was drawn to was the lovely pictures of the Elie Saab Autum/Winter 2012-13 show. I think i would happily live my life in a glittering Elie Saab gown if my student bank balance allowed for it!

I think the moral of this story is that I should keep on top of my fashion stalking, then I won't miss beauties like the dresses above and below.
